My favorite lunch spots at Alpharetta City Center are Never Enough Thyme and Chiringa. You can get takeout and then picnic on the green area or at the outdoor tables. There are plenty of lunch spots to enjoy after the market. It felt nice to be out in the community on such a beautiful day. Even though we were wearing masks, I was smiling at strangers and could feel their smiles back. There were also sanitizing stations.Ī musician was singing on the corner and the festive atmosphere was refreshing. All the vendors were wearing masks and a majority of the outdoor shoppers were wearing masks too. While there are wonderful local vegetables, the Alpharetta Farmers Market also has local vendors selling everything from soaps to jewelry to art to homemade sauces to my favorite pimento cheese! It felt so nice to walk through the Alpharetta City Center and see people supporting our local small businesses. There are local vendors set up throughout the Alpharetta City Center in tents selling their products.

We finally had a free Saturday morning and made the time to go. But, it always seems we need to run in a different direction. Every Saturday, I see the Alpharetta Farmers Market and want to stop and shop. I just feel the service element needs addressing.We live close to downtown Alpharetta. Overall, the food was OK and the pricing reasonable. It may sound like a pretty, nitpicking complaint but this cafe touts itself as being more upmarket and the incident felt like the sort of thing that would happen in a greasy spoon cafe. It was an opportunity missed by the proprietress to engage with us, check whether we had enjoyed our breakfast and whether anything else was wanted. Service is everything in a place like this and the graceless way the new table was set up without asking if the removal of the chair was OK was frankly rude. The thing which most raised an eyebrow was the spare chair at our table being briskly removed from our table banging my partners knee in the process as a new party arrived at the empty table behind. The service was average, a bit slow and not clear whether someone came to the table or we had to order at the counter.
We both felt the dishes could have been served a little hotter. (Sausage, mushroom, egg, beans, hash brown, toast). His bacon was overcooked but otherwise the quality of ingredients and range of elements offered was good.

My partner and I had a Full English Breakfast and Smashed Avocado on Sourdough toast with poached eggs respectively. Heating the plates would have helped a lot. So, whilst there were positives, overall the food and coffee was not warm enough. One order was wrong, the egg was missing, this was corrected, but unfortunately the rest of the food cooled down on the cold plate while waiting for the egg! We then asked for the meal to be heated up which was done, but on returning the meal the waitress slammed the plate down! Both traditional English meals were not hot enough and the plates were cold which meant the food cooled down quicker. Unfortunately the eggs were undercooked for one of the meals. egg and slice of bacon was given to replace the sausage, tomatoes and mushrooms, which was appreciated. Two of us had the traditional English breakfast, but with variations. One of us had the Shakshuka, this was tasty and the poached eggs were cooked perfectly.
